A Good Egg!
Posted by: | Comments
Well, Easter is coming and I couldn’t help myself from getting this adorable stamp set. The order came in a month ago and I hadn’t used it yet! I had a few hostesses request an Easter card for their workshop and I knew immediately which set I would use.
I created two different cards that are almost identical. This was the actual card used for the workshop make-n-take. One of the things I like most about this card is it only uses ONE stamp set and it doesn’t have to be used as an Easter card either. The card base is Barely Banana. The flower images are random stamped over the top half of the card with Summer Sun Classic Ink. To create the look of patterned paper, the flowers are quickly colored using the VersaMarker. This looked a little plain to me so I colored in the centers of each flower with the Signo White Gel Pen. Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon is adhered with SNAIL adhesive to separate the top and bottom of the card. The Chick and greeting are both stamped with Black StazOn.
The cute little chick is colored using a Barely Banana Stampin’ Write Marker. To avoid long stroke marks I colored in the chick using a swirling motion, this also creates the look of feathers. His little beak is colored with Apricot Appeal. The egg is decorated by stamping the chick and egg image onto Almost Amethyst Prints DSP and then cutting out the egg only. This is adhered over the egg already stamped on the Whisper White layer.
Here is a close up of the flowers on the base of the card.
I am quite sure many of you know by now that I LOVE Dazzling Diamonds and use it every chance I get! With that being said I thought the little flowers would look so cute with a little “BLING” in the center of each one.
Here is a close up of the “Dazzling Flowers”…
Oh, I forgot to tell you that the main image is layered on Almost Amethyst Cardstock and attached to the card base with dimensionals, another one of my favorites.

Hello Again!
Posted by: | CommentsI just wanted to stop in and say hello once again. I know it has been a very long time since I have posted here. I am sorry for not posting to let you know I was taking some time off.
I would like to thank everyone who has emailed me over the past few weeks to ask if I was OK. I am now. You guys are the greatest and I really appreciate your concern. I have been struggling with a few health issues over the past two months. Everything is OK now , and has been for about a week. I haven’t posted recently because I have been trying to catch up with my house and my family. Boy, when you get out of household and business routines for three weeks it feels almost impossible to get back on track. I was hoping to start posting pictures again at the beginning of the week, but all of the kids were home for February vacation.
I am so excited to start stamping again! I don’t have anything to show you right now, but I will try to post later tonight.
Happy Stamping!
